Promotional Materials

In order to promote the national accreditation system with the aim of upgrading the level of quality and competitiveness of our products in domestic and international markets through learning the importance and benefits of accreditation within the national and European legal framework, the Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS) has published brochures intended for regulators, interested conformity assessment bodies and clients of accredited conformity assessment bodies. The said material can be downloaded under Brochures.

In addition to raising awareness of the importance of accreditation at national level, it is necessary to promote accreditation at EU level and worldwide. Therefore, this is carried out by the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA), International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and International Accreditation Forum (IAF) by means of promotional brochures that can be downloaded at:

The ATS bulletin is published every four months in order to inform all interested parties - users and consumers of products and services, public authorities, clients of accredited conformity assessment bodies, and conformity assessment bodies about the ATS activities, news from the field of accreditation related to the work of international organisations (EA, ILAC, IAF, ISO,...), new legal solutions related to conformity assessment and accreditation, announcements of events, seminars and conferences, important notices and other current information.

With this end in view please send us your suggestions on the topics you wish to read about to our email address at office@ats.rs.

QI Publications

The Ministry of Finance and Economy, МFE, (currently Ministry of Economy, ME) published a set of guides in the field of quality infrastructure and technical legislation with the aim of assisting the business community and other interested parties to apply laws and technical regulations in practice. Moreover, the Strategy on the Enhancement of the Quality Infrastructure in the Republic of Serbia for the Period 2015-2020 was published and hence the development priorities for the forthcoming period were defined in line with the needs of the industrial sector and current QI development trends at the EU and global level.

MFE publications in .pdf format can be downloaded here.

Horizontal legal framework in the field of quality infrastructure in the Republic of Serbia Guide for the Application of the Regulation on Electromagnetic Compatibility Guide for the Application of the Regulation on Lift Safety
Guide for the Application of the Regulation on Machinery Safety Guide for the Application of the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Use within Certain Voltage Limits Guide for the Application of the Regulation on Personal Protective Equipment

Short Handbook for the Application of the ATEX Regulation

The Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS) published two publications with a support from the German Organisation for International Cooperation (GIZ) as part of the ACCESS programme.

Given that the publication entitled “Building trust – the conformity assessment toolbox” provides a review of all aspects of conformity assessment it can be used by managers, regulators, and consumer representatives.

One of the key uses of standards to support public policy initiatives implies referencing to international standards in technical legislation as can be seen in the publication entitled “Using and referencing ISO and IEC standards to support public policy”. Policy makers also have the choice of using ISO and IEC international standards as a solution which can save them considerable time and money.
